MIS: Week 3 Seminar Reflection

Today in class we worked more on excel.  Within excel we made a budget table for a company.  Here we had to use formulas and operations so that if numbers within the budget changed then the entire report would update to give an accurate overview.  This was very interesting to do because it is a very useful tool to have.  Within budgeting it can get confusing when numbers change and it can be very strenuous to redo all the calculations.  Using excel streamlines this process and makes it very easy to read off.  I found this interesting and easy to do which is exciting because this will be very relevant in the work world later on.  When working for an actual business it will be very important to have budget reports and they will be much more lengthy than this assignment.  With excel it will be very must simpler and easier to read.
